Initially, the name of the disease was given by Hippocrates when he discovered a breast tumor. He called it karkinos - from the word "crab", which is a free translation into Russian may sound like "plundering" of the mammary gland. No one knows why the tumor seemed like a crab, but the term entered his writings. Then the Roman doctor Celsus, while translating the works of Hippocrates, mistakenly translated the Greek "crab" as the Latin "cancer". This word also went into all European languages, and then into Russian.
Thus, oncological diseases have been known since ancient times, and the incidence, apparently, has always grown together with the average life expectancy. However, a real surge occurred after the invention of antibiotics, which significantly extended the life of people, and this made it possible to survive oncological diseases in the amount that we now see. As one of the results, the maintenance of separate cancer statistics has begun. Since that time (since about the 1950s), humanity has a much better idea of the dynamics of cancer incidence and mortality.
One must still remember that a person with cancer can recover well and die after 30 years from myocardial infarction. But if we talk about how a person dies, if he cannot recover, then everything depends on the biological properties and location of the tumor. Primary tumors can kill if they located in vital organs (such as the brain) and interfere with their work.
However, even if the tumor is located in organs or tissues that can be removed, this does not always lead to a cure - the tumor metastasizes, that is, spreads throughout the body. Of course, metastases can also be removed (which is often done), however, if a tumor has the necessary properties, then sooner or later it will spread to an organ or tissue that cannot be removed (for example, brain metastases or multiple metastases). Also, a person can die from another disease that arose, in fact, due to cancer: due to a weakened immune system disease, pneumonia develops, with which the body is no longer able to fight. From it, a man dies. In other words, there is no universal mechanism for the death of patients from cancer — each case is essentially individual, there are only some common features.
The term "oncological diseases" summarizes hundreds of diseases that are very different from each other. And even if one oncological disease is chosen, its characteristics can vary greatly among different patients. Moreover, over time, the characteristics of the disease can change even in one particular patient. Thus, the choice of treatment depends on a huge number of introductory, and sometimes specialists of completely different profiles and directions are engaged in it.
The management of the enterprise is confident that a well-thought-out policy, the highest quality of services, the availability of equipment that will be the only one in Uzbekistan and only the second in Central Asia, as well as highly qualified personnel who are planned to be provided after receiving the investment, will allow the medical institution to take a leading place in the market of Central Asia.
